Pinewood Atlanta Studios Rebrands as Trilith Studios

Atlanta’s premier destination for film industry professionals to live and work, Pinewood Atlanta Studios, is now rebranded as Trilith Studios. Trilith, the 935-acre master development, is home to one of the largest purpose-built studios in North America. In Phase 2 of development, the 235-acre town will welcome a host of new retail stores and restaurants in the spring of 2021, and in 2022 the community will include a 180-room boutique hotel. Trilith is the only centralized, studio-adjacent new urbanist town of its kind.

The new branding was developed over the course of 18 months and was caused by an ownership change from a partnership with the U.K.-based Pinewood Group to Atlanta-based River’s Rock. The studios that started off as rental facilities producing some of the world’s biggest films such as Avengers: End Game, Black Panther, and Captain America: Civil War by Marvel have turned into something much bigger. Formally known as Pinewood Forest, Trilith Development, is a mix-use complex with plans to build a movie theater, restaurants, boutique hotels, retail and office space using environmentally friendly materials.
