CoreLogic announced that Georgia home prices jumped in September, following a national trend based on their Home Price Index and HPA Forecast. Overall home prices jumped 3.5% year over year are still expected to increase over 5% over the next year. Low inventory in key price points and interest rates being a full point lower than last year is driving demand and helping to drive up prices.

“The Atlanta Real Estate market has micro markets where supply and demand can vary from the overall market. We are still seeing low inventory/high demand in the lower price ranges and a much higher supply relative to demand in the higher price points. Each local market is different,” said Dan Petersen with the Petersen Partners Team at Berkshire Hathaway. “Overall the market is good, but some local areas and price points are seeing some challenges for multiple reasons.”
